RECORDS
78
A branding project for a luxury hypothetical luxury brand. The project encompasses branding and brand placement. The hypothetical brand built by me was a personalised vinyl store. Vinyls are at the very beginning of their popularity in India right now. With no brand making them here, as well as no stores globally. It is an experience center for like music enthusiasts of Mumbai.

78 gets its name from the original vinyl records produced in the 1 800s. The discs had a 78 rpm producing about 3-5 min per side.

The abstract gradients are the base of the Visual Language. Inspired by sunset lamps and modern art, 78 visualises the various emotions music can make you feel.

STORE DESIGN**
For the store design I drew inspiration from Art Galleries. I wanted the space to display the various album cover art as well as diverse music taste of the consumers. A place where everybody has something to call their own.
STORE DESIGN

The project taught me a new software - blender. Also made me realise the importance of a space for an immersive and memorable experience. While challenging, it was fun to explore music and art overlapping, visualising different genres as different art forms. The project was an insight into new domains as well - Retail Spaces along with animation. 78 was a new avenue for me too, i got to learn a lot more about music and vinyls. The space curation’s alignment to the brand ethos was something i struggled with. Overall i learnt a lot from this project from 3d modelling to patience as it renders.
